Helping Hounds Dog Rescue

Works to find homes for rescued dogs in the Central New York area. Takes dogs that are currently in overcrowded shelters or dog control systems and transfers them into their adoption program.
 

Eligibility: To adopt: Must be 21 year or older, all members of the family must be present and have previously met the dog before adoption, if renting: must have permission from whoever owns the property, if other animals already in the home: must verify that they are up to date with current vaccinations, if other dogs in home: must have animals meet before finalizing adoption

Application Process: Adoption application available online

Required Documentation: Photo ID with name and current address, proof of residency

Fees: Adoption fees: $400 for dogs 7 months and older; $600 for puppies younger than 7 months
