Section 504 Single Family Housing Home Repair Program

(Program)

Provides loans to very low-income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize their homes. Offers grants to very low-income elderly homeowners to remove health and safety hazards or make the home handicap accessible.

Eligibility: Owner occupants of Single Family Homes in rural areas with a household income at or below the area median income; grants available for qualifying individuals ages 62 years and older who are not able to repay a repair loan and to address health/safety hazards or make the home accessible for an individual with a disability.
