Residential Treatment Services

(Program)

Provides residential care to youth under the age of 18 ensuring that each youth receives the medical, psychological, and psychiatric services and care they need. Residents attend the campus school, use the Literary Center, and participate in recreational activities. Other services designed for youth that have treatment needs requiring specialized clinical interventions are offered as needed. Residents are expected to have regular family contact and visits, and Elmcrest assists with transportation to and from some visits.

Eligibility: Adolescents under the age of 18 with behavioral difficulties

Application Process: County departments of social services refer all youth who live in residential programs

Required Documentation: Completed Elmcrest application, school and medical records, copies of a birth certificate and social security card

Jefferson, Lewis, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties
