Works with county health departments, continuing care facilities, health care providers and community partnerships to ensure appropriate access to quality health care and health-related services. Responsible for overseeing the quality, scope, and availability of patient care services. Conducts surveillance, provides technical assistance to control diseases, provides education and training to providers, responds to public health emergencies, investigates complaints, and facilitates health care and public health preparedness planning.
