Eviction Defense

(Program)

Provides on-the-spot defense to tenants who are facing eviction and/or non-payment of rent cases in the Syracuse and East Syracuse Court. Clients are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of court. Representation is limited to that day.

If the tenant has received a petition for eviction, please contact Legal Services of Central New York at 1-877-777-6152 or Hiscock Legal Aid Society at 315-422-8191.

Eligibility: Low-income residents of Syracuse or East Syracuse who are facing eviction from privately owned housing

Application Process: Clients are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of court

Required Documentation: Any documentation relating to the eviction process
