Social Security Transition (SST)

(Program)

Assist recipients of Temporary Assistance for Need Families and Safety Net Assistance in applying and qualifying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Assists recipients with obtaining necessary medical documentation and evaluations to support SSI application. Refers recipients to Legal Aid Services when applicable.

Eligibility: Recipients of Temporary Assistance

Application Process: In person and telephone appointments/application assistance

Required Documentation: Call for required documentation

Fees: None, service provided by TA Employment Program in partnership with the Department of Social Services
